Wellness care is important for all species, and that includes exotic pets! Not everyone sticks with dogs and cats—and that’s why we’re here. We can help with wellness, husbandry recommendations, evaluations, diagnostics, and surgery for your small and exotic animals.
Species we Treat
We see pets of the following species:
- Reptiles: Lizards, corn snakes, slider turtles, geckos, tortoises
- Birds: Chickens, parrots, cockatiels, parakeets
- Small Mammals and Pocket Pets: Hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets
- New World Primates and Lemurs: Capuchins, tamarins, marmosets, ring-tailed lemurs
Our veterinarians are skilled in treating each of the types of pets listed above. Whether you have a sick pet, or are in need of routine wellness care, we’re here to help.
Species We Don’t Treat
We do NOT see:
- Wildlife
- Old World primates
- Spiders
- Fish
- Hoofstock such as pigs, goats, horses, cows
While we admire the efforts of those who wish to help injured wildlife, we are not equipped to help them. If you find wildlife that needs care, please take them to Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation in San Antonio.
